Lindsay is thrilled to sing the role of Francine Williams for the concept album of Douglas J. Cohen's new musical, Bridges.

Bridges tells the dual stories of Francine Williams, a young African American woman in Selma, Alabama in 1965, and Franki Henderson, a biracial teenager in Oakland, California in 2008. As each woman rallies for civil rights (Francine marching against segregation and Franki protesting Prop 8), their mirrored story-lines weave together in an epic fable of family, tolerance, and the inter-generational imperative to fight for justice.

Book and lyrics by Cheryl L. Davis, music by Douglas J. Cohen, and music direction/arrangements by Sam Willmott.

Bridges will make its world premiere at Berkeley Playhouse in September 2015.
